Worth200 Lectures at Bourne Abbey Church Hall and Fashion Extravaganza at The Red Hall

Well, the dust has settled on a wonderful weekend celebrating the life and times, and the (sometimes wacky) influence of the Father of Haute Couture Charles Frederick Worth.

The Aveland History Group would like to thank the organisations of Bourne, especially The Len Pick Trust, Bourne Town Council, Bourne United Charities, and South Kesteven District Council who gave us the money to enable us to put on a wonderful selection of events which so many of you attended.

We would also like to thank all the people who gave up their time so selflessly to help organise, to participate on the day, or those who volunteered to marshal for a couple of hours – you all played your part in making the event such a success.

And especially to the people of Bourne and beyond who came out in their droves to support the events and lectures taking place around the town. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you!
